3 Simple Steps to Install on Android

Follow these steps if you are installing a Mathnotes APK for the first time.

Tap either Download Student APK or Download Teacher APK above (or scan the QR code). The file will be saved in your device’s Downloads folder.

Tap the downloaded file. When Android prompts “For your security, your phone is not allowed to install unknown apps”, tap Settings and toggle on Allow from this source.

Tap Install. Once complete, tap Open to sign in using your Google account or existing Mathnotes credentials.

Direct APK distribution allows us to ship the latest AI models, curriculum features, and bug fixes directly to our students and faculty with zero app store delays. We are also preparing our Google Play Store and Apple TestFlight listings for upcoming release.
Is it safe to install on my personal Android smartphone?
Yes, 100%. Both packages are built transparently using GitHub Actions on clean Linux runners and are signed with standard cryptographic certificates. You can verify the exact SHA-256 integrity checksums listed under each download button.
What Android versions are supported?
Mathnotes supports Android 8.0 (Oreo, API 26) all the way up to Android 15+. The apps contain universal native binaries for 64-bit ARM (arm64-v8a), 32-bit ARM (armeabi-v7a), and x86/x86_64 emulators.
Will my course progress sync with my web account?
Yes. Both mobile apps communicate directly with the Mathnotes Tutor LMS Pro backend via authenticated REST endpoints. Every lesson completed, quiz score, and question asked in Q&A syncs instantaneously between your phone and computer.
How can I test on an iPhone or iPad (iOS)?
iOS users can use our Interactive Web Simulator immediately, or run the project through Expo Go on iOS. Production IPA packages for TestFlight and Apple App Store are currently in preparation.
